Baseball Trophies Designed by Tiffany

Our history with baseball dates back to 1877 when we designed the iconic New York Yankees logo. In 1888, we began our partnership with the creation of the first world championship baseball trophy, the Hall Championship Cup. Today, Tiffany & Co. proudly crafts trophies for Major League League Baseball including the World Series, the National League Championship Series and the American League Championship Series.
The Commissioner’s Achievement Award
The Commissioner’s Trophy
Crafted since 2000, the Commissioner’s Trophy is awarded annually to the winner of the MLB World Series. The 9 kg (20 pound), 60.9 cm (24 inch) trophy features 30 flags, one for each Major League team. The flags rise above a sterling silver ball that features 24k gold vermeil stitching. In total, the trophy is crafted over the course of approximately six months, taking almost 140 hours of labour.

In 1998, Tiffany & Co. first designed the All-Star Home Run Derby Trophy, presented annually by MLB to the champion of the Home Run Derby, and has handcrafted it ever since. Standing 60.9 cm (24 inches) tall, the award weighs 8.6 kg (19 pounds) and takes five months of labour to complete.
The New York Yankees Logo Design
Our long history with baseball extends beyond the House’s trophy-making legacy. In 1877, Tiffany’s Chief Designer Edward C. Moore created the design for the Medal of Valor, featuring the interlocking “N” and “Y” insignia. The design later inspired the iconic New York Yankees logo.
