Tiffany & Co. proudly acquired an exceedingly rare Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond of over 71 carats, the largest of this species ever discovered in Canada. Artisans at Tiffany’s Antwerp diamond workshop crafted the rough stone into two emerald-cut Fancy Vivid Yellow diamonds of over 20 and 15 carats, respectively. Each features a unique elongated shape.

The remarkable rough gem was sustainably sourced from the Ekati Mine in the Northwest Territories of Canada. It is extremely rare due to its highly saturated hue.

The rough diamond showcased a near-perfect octahedral shape – the most common crystal habit of a diamond. An octahedron is a single closed form bounded by eight faces, like two pyramids lined up base to base.
